Meadowlark Shores Campground and RV Park

Meadowlark Shores Campground and RV Park, 1880 Williams Rd, Moore Haven, FL 33471, sits on the Caloosahatchee River, otherwise known as the Okeechobee Waterway which connects Stuart on the east coast to Ft. Myers on the west. Meadowlark offers boat ramps for fishing boats and riverfront moorings for larger vessels. The 168-site RV park boasts a pool, community center, laundry and showers and a convenience store on site. Ortona South Campground

The Ortona South Campground, 2410 Dalton Ln, Moore Haven, FL 33471

on the Caloosahatchee River offers full-service transient camping facilities and boating access to the river. 

All campsites have concrete pads, 30 amp and 50 amp electric, water hookups, fire ring and grill, and a covered picnic table. Other amenities include a sanitary dump station, restrooms with showers, dumpsters, Wifi, and a picnic pavilion for campers only. Day use visitors are allowed on site for fishing. Aruba Campground

If access to bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee is what you’re looking for, the Aruba Campground,  1073 Old Lakeport Rd NW, Moore Haven, FL 33471, offers 138 full service lots with hook ups, internet access, cable TV and more with 26 vacant sites for transient RVers. Aruba is home to 19 permanent residents while the remainder average a six month stay. The Fisheating Creek Outpost

If wilderness camping is more your style, The Fisheating Creek Outpost, 7555 US 27, Palmdale, 33944, offers RV and tent camping and a canoeing livery for the 52-mile long paddling trail along the creek. Brighton Seminole Campground and RV Park

If you’re looking for an RV site near fine dining and gaming establishments, The Brighton Seminole Campground and RV Park, 14685 Reservation Rd NE, Okeechobee, FL 34974, offers 56 pull-in RV slots to accommodate every size and class of RV. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric hook-ups, as well as water and sewer. Visitors can enjoy the new and expanded pool area, get their provisions at the Trading Post, wash their clothes in the laundry facility, or catch a fish from the fishing dock.
